Place in Time Monthly Calendar Classes

Hello everyone!

I have had the pleasure of designing monthly calendar page classes for Graphic 45 using the Place in Time collection.  The classes are held at Scrapbook stores around the world and it is so exciting to be able to see everyone with their finished projects.

I wanted to share a few photos from the Graphic 45 Facebook page of some of the wonderful ladies and Scrapbook stores who have participated this year.

"Kazmos Kreationz in Cranbourne Vic Australia with their January Classes! Happy faces!"

These lovely ladies are from Scrapbook It Page by Page in North Sioux City , SD

The wonderful group is from Pages in Time in Lititz, PA.

"Scrapbook Nook in Kent, WA looking gorgeous with their April Place in Time layouts!"

I hope everyone enjoyed the class and I look forward to sharing photos from the May classes next month.

Little Boy Blue

Hello everyone!
I couldn’t wait to use this gorgeous chipboard frame from the Dusty Attic deVine Frame Set (DA0733).  I colored the frame by spraying several coats of Pinecone Glimmer Mist.  I embellished my frame using Dusty Attic Roses (Chocolate - DA0972, Latte Cream 1 cm - DA0960 and Whisper Blue #651X - DA0969), Dusty in Bloom Flowers (Blue Bonnet - DA0807) and Dusty Rose Leaves - DA0962.

I created several layers including doilies (Bo Bunny) and patterned paper (Authentique) which was altered using punches, folding and tearing techniques.

Here you can see the lovely little roses in latte and blue.  To finish my page, I added drops of liquid pearls.

Sunshine *Graphic 45*

Hello Everyone!

I have a fun share for you today.  I used the French Country collection from Graphic 45 to create this layout which features a chipboard wicker fence (DA0864) from The Dusty Attic.

I used several colors of Distress Ink (Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo and Scattered Straw) to create the finish on the fence.

The banners in this collection are out of this world gorgeous!  I used them to create a festive embellishment across the top of my page.

Here is a closer look at the chipboard wicker fence.  I couldn't think of a more perfect embellishment to coordinate with this paper collection.  I fussy cut the flowers and rooster to add dimension.  I finished my design by placing a few pieces of French Country chipboard around the girl in the photo.

Captivating - The Dusty Attic

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing a layout spotlighting my little love...Chance.  You will be seeing a lot more of him as my daughter set up a mini photo shoot which yielded the cutest photos ever!

I used two beautiful flourish designs from The Dusty Attic to showcase his photos.

I wanted to add soft elements to the page as well so I punched several butterflies using plain white paper. I love this simple embellishment agains all of the patterns in the "So Noted" collection from Carta Bella.

I added a soft whispy branch and mini roses from Prima.

The "So Noted" collection came with gorgeous sticker embellishments.  I decided to use this simple sentiment as the title for my page.

My favorite technique to color chipboard is spouncing or dabbing because of the textured look it creates.  First, I used Ranger Ink - Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber - Brights - Pool to apply color sparingly over the chipboard.  I then topped the color with Ranger Ink - Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber - Earthtones - Snow Cap.
To finish my page, I added another beautiful sticker from the "So Noted" collection just below Chance's photo.

Anna Griffin Shares

Hello everyone,
First, I wanted to thank those of you who left such beautiful notes of sympathy for me.  I was truly touched and it really warmed my heart.  Thank you sincerely.
Today I am just sharing a few new projects featuring the gorgeous papers and embellishments from Anna Griffin. I recently tried out for her team and now that a designer has been selected, I thought I would share these designs with you as we head into the weekend. The photos have been used before, but I thought they were perfect for the tryout.
My first crafting techniques were the ones I learned from Anna Griffin. All of the paper pleating, fussy cutting and fan folds that I do are a result of her gorgeous crafting style.
Here I have approximately 9 layers of paper, pleats, flowers, die cuts and lace.  This was a fun layout to work on.
Here I used one of my favorite Crafter’s Workshop templates to create a decorative frame.  One of the staples in my craft arsenal is a pair of scallop edge scissors.  I used them to add detail to the inside of my frame.
This card was made using one of her many beautiful card making kits.  I have three of her kits and I mix and match the pieces together as well as add embellishments from my stash.  The  jeweled button is from Teresa Collins.  I just had to add a bit of sparkle.

Here is my last project...a happy birthday card.  This was also created using the card kit with 3D floral stickers.

Remembering Ruby

For those of you who have followed me for a while you have seen the vintage photos of my beautiful Aunt Ruby.  Today, we are laying her to rest.  She passed away at the age of 89.  Today I thought I would share her with all of you through some of the layouts I have done throughout the years.

Aunt Ruby was a lovely, spirited lady who made you smile when she walked into a room. I will always remember her sense of humour and spirit and keep it with me always.

I love this photo!  You can see her sense of style shining through!

What a gorgeous photo!  I speaks for itself. This was one of my first "fancy" layouts with the gazebo.

Thanks for visiting today.
